Great Sites for Scrapbooking Inspiration
It doesn’t matter whether you are a beginner or an old-time scrapper from way back, we all need a little inspiration from time to time. Those who are new to scrapbooking may not even realize all the possibilities. People who have been around the album a few times may feel like they are getting stale. To recharge my scrapbooking creativity, I like to turn to the web. I’ve listed below (in no particular order) some of my favorite websites for getting new ideas.
ScrapJazz.com calls itself the “Scrapbooking Megasite” and they may be right. Their gallery is filled to overflowing with paper layouts (over 177,000 and counting), digital layouts, ideas for other projects and more. You can join the site and interact with other scrappers in the forum. It also has shopping sections and an educational area. ScrapJazz is one of my regular stops on the web.
Shelley’s Scrapbook Layouts has been around for a while. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been updated recently, and the navigation can be a little tricky. But if you’re willing to give it a whirl, there are some really great layouts tucked away on this site. Once you’ve seen everything, there’s probably not a reason to go back unless they start updating it again. But it’s worth the trip.
As you might imagine, Scrapbook.com is (as one of my friends would say) the mac-daddy site of all. It has many of the same features as ScrapJazz, but there’s a whole lot more polish and professionalism. When you start wandering around this site, you’ll begin to realize what a popular activity (and big business) scrapbooking really is.
There are plenty more sites to visit on the web. You can always go to ScrapbookingTop50.com, a site that lists and ranks what they determine to be the top 50 scrapbooking websites in the world. The design of the site is a little busy for my taste, and there are certainly a lot of ads on which to click, but they do list some sites worth bookmarking.
